WHAT IS UNPLAYABLE?

What this is

Unplayable is a free collection of small browser games. No downloads, no accounts, no install — you open a page and you're playing within a second.

Every game here is built around one idea. Something you can understand in five seconds and then spend a lot longer trying to actually beat: hit the target before the timer dies, untangle the edges, remember the sequence, balance the needle, crack the safe. They are short, sharp, and they don't hold your hand.

There is no filler and no storefront. Games ship when they're good enough to be worth your time, and they stay free.

What's inside

  • Timing and precision — hit a moving target inside a shrinking window.
  • Memory — watch, then reproduce it exactly.
  • Puzzle and logic — untangling, tile merging, mazes, switchboards.
  • Reaction — reflex checks where one stray click ends the run.
  • Reaction + logic hybrids — the ones that make you think and panic at once.

Each game has its own difficulty settings, so you can make a run easier while you learn it and brutal once you know it.

How it's made

  • Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No frameworks, no bundler, no dependencies.
  • Every game runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked.
  • The whole site is hand-built and shipped one game at a time.
  • Articles and pages are written in Markdown and built into static HTML, so everything stays fast and readable without JavaScript.

Support

Unplayable is an indie project, built and maintained by one person. Support is what keeps new games shipping.
